Thank you! I know how to edit the basics, not much though. My personal tumblr, http://rainydaysandsunsets.tumblr.com/ , uses a Springfield theme and I edited the CSS based on codes I can understand. It’s all experimentation, really. :)

My other project tumblr, http://onehundredinone.tumblr.com/ uses the Sunday Morning theme, and I tweaked that up just a little bit in terms of color and such. 

I suggest you create another (private) tumblr just to experiment with CSS codes for layouts. :) Go through the free themes and see which is closest to your liking and tweak accordingly. Once you spot familiar codes (say, for text size, font style, color, etc) you’ll get the hang of it.
